Spring Equinox 2006

Cold lives

night sky breeds with river wind

through replacement windows

kissing my nose, my cheeks

  Being dark

Warmth lives

courts as night pall flits away

my hip mends under covers, tear slips

  Healing wounds

  Through panes

wrought iron modifies – lamp to fixture.

Twelve hours, on the dot, ore returns to

  Being light

St. Patrick’s Day

This poem is dedicated to Grandma Hannah

who always took pride in her Irish heritage.

An Old Irish Blessing

May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life’s passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!
