Peace and Joy to the World….

Happy Holidays……..

My family and I attended a Holiday Party at a dear friend’s home. Micheal is an artist of landscape design and also of Christmas Decorating. All of the photos on display are from his home. You can’t help but be cradled by the Holdiay Spirit, the beauty of the season and his message of Peace.

Michael used his creative passion, landscape design on our formerly sad yard this past spring. I’ll share those photos in March but during the winter months, when his living art is regrenerating and hybernating, he redirects his creative mind to designing, building and putting up Holiday Decorations.

People in his hometown have knocked on his front door to sneak an inside look or to personally offer their admiration for his sense of style and Spirit.

He serves New York and New Jersey.

Mulled Wine by Peter F. May

Mulled Wine Recipe

As the weather turns colder, grownups turn to mulled wine as a flavorful way to warm up.

1 regular sized bottle of red wine
*Use an inexpensive wine for this recipe. Don’t get something that tastes absolutely horribe, but this is the time to look at the bottom wine shelf at the liquor store.

1 orange (or lemon)
6 sticks of cinnamon
12 whole cloves
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. ginger
1/8 tsp. allspice
1/4 cup sugar

Combine the spices and the citrus in a dry red wine, such as Burgandy. Add 1/4 cup of sugar. Heat this through for at least 15 minutes, but DON’T boil. A clean large coffee pot is a great method for heating the wine.

Pour into holiday mugs or thick glassware and enjoy!
