‘Black Dog’ Theory? ‘Black Dog’ Syndrome? Canine discrimination~

Would you turn away from this gorgeous face? Could you turn away from this gorgeous face?

Most people do because of ‘black dog theory/syndrome’ – the misguided belief  black dogs are aggressive.

Discrimination leaves ‘black dogs’ in the dark.

Black coated canines prove overlooked statistically by adopters,

Left un-adopted, unattended and unappreciated simply for their onyx fur.

This photographer highlights beauty, gentility and compatibility of black dogs in a normal setting.

In a home. In loving homes.

This blog’s dedication to inclusion, non-discrimination for all – including canines.

Dogs serve humanity, they serve in the armed forces, serve the physically and medically disabled,

and neglecting, overlooking and discrimination of any living creature shares our limelight.

Check out these black beauties photos and your heart will melt!

Beautifully written…stating the obvious. Why is it that fear wins out over love so often?
I believe it is ignorance beneath the fear. Education of all kinds is the answer. Yet how do we, as a nation, deal with it appropriately when it is called “pure evil?”

Ignorance is beneath or beside fear, for sure. As a Nation, I have no magic potion curing ‘pure evil syndrome.’ I have my voice to educate, inform, with faith ‘ignorance’ be diminished and ‘pure evil’ be put in proper perspective. Black dogs as pure evil, not especially ‘evil’ in my eyes. Thanks for the discourse, Pat. Always a pleasure.
