President Obama will or will not sign off on this ‘Bipartisan Budget.’

I sent an email using this link; I had to use my voice in some capacity advocating for fiscal civil rights for the aged and disabled.

Monday night, leaders met to discuss the federal budget and came to an agreement to:

Increase the Defense Budget $80 million dollars over the next two years

Cut services for the aged and disabled

Sunday Poem ~

Patience Taught by Nature

Elizabeth Barrett Browning, 18061861

An ode to the authentic autumn weather gracing the Jersey Shore this day from poetry’s Romanticism Era as today

I am embracing autumn; layered arms, sheepskin feet, hands hidden inside hoodie pockets, base-boards cued hum,

sassafrass fall underbelly sassafress fall– as romantically as arthritic can under weather vices.

Proud Mother!

Eight years ago, old taxis hedges in the front yard, older azaleas crammed in the north-west corner

uprooted, recycled at the township yard.

New plantings strategically and intuitively landscaped

replaced the woody clippings; future paper bags,

free municipal mulch –

Last month, the Scotch pine finally germinated seeds –

pine cones

fertile,

thriving

securing

roots

home.
