Jack’s Back! And pictures of the bay~

Weeks ago, a friend and I ventured out to the Spy Museum in Port Monmouth, NJ.

The house reportedly haunted, filled with history, pirates the likes of Captain Morgan, murder and espionage during the Revolutionary War captured our imagination. Lucky ladies, the spirits with us as we roamed atop original planks on the last day the Museum opened its doors to the public until spring.

We rambled onto the bay side beach, the Spy Museum’s backyard. The wind haunted exposed skin, not quite ready for Jack Frost. Fishermen lounged awaiting nets in the sea water their baited bountiful fill. Pedestrians strolled, jogged and walked mutts along the shoreline. I adore a seashore be it bay, ocean, sea – I think the thrill rests in expansive skyline as much as the earth’s shorelines. That day, I found the chilly air bothersome – until this morning.

Today, the first frost glistened icy white over grass blades, tree branches, black metal mailbox and sagging electric wires – a sharper cold to the museum excursion.

Jack’s Back.
